Why Pressure Wash your Concrete Surfaces?

Why Pressure Wash your Concrete Surfaces?

01/02/2024 - Why is pressure washing your concrete surfaces so important? Why does it matter? For starters, algae, mold, and slime can build up on your driveway, sidewalks, patios, and other concrete surfaces causing them to look unsightly. Not only will they look hideous, but when these surfaces become wet with rain this buildup of nastiness can cause your concrete surfaces to become slick and even downright dangerous to walk on. Regular driveway cleaning can also help to lessen the chances of deep-setting oil stains in your driveway. Regular pressure washing of your concrete surfaces can remove this buildup of algae and grime, and keep your driveway, sidewalks, and patio looking great for years to come.

What is Soft Washing?

01/17/2024 - What is "soft washing" and how does it differ from pressure washing? The answer has to do with the amount of water pressure (psi) that is used to clean your home. Soft washing involves using a lower water pressure (typically 150-500 psi), while pressure washing involves higher-pressure water (typically between 2500-4000 psi). Soft washing is a safer and more effective process for cleaning more delicate surfaces like vinyl, stucco, roof shingles, etc). In contrast, pressure washing is typically more effective in cleaning more durable surfaces like brick, concrete, and masonry surfaces. Neither method is superior to the other and we here at Advanced Curb Appeal Pressure Washing use both pressure washing and soft washing, depending on individual customer needs.
